It may be one of the much later ABC Warriors stories.

I've got the complete Nemesis collection.  I just can't get at it right now.  I think the Gooney Bird (as ISTR it was called) might have been in the first episode which was called Terror Tube and was part of the Comic Rock series.

Quote from: Wardukw on January 22, 2026, 12:39:49 AMIn the mail today .. A 35th pile of 40mm Bofors AA gun sitting on one turret ..yep the ZimiModel quad Bofors turned and and the plan hasn't changed for it but i'm glad i have an Italeri Bofors for parts because i'm going to need em ..also i need to find a cheap large amount of 40mm Bofors ammo as this kit comes with a total of 12 clips and expects you to buy the metal edition set or sets as i've no idea how many is in it but if you look at the gun tub ,,there's a fecking lot of em  :o

The "cheap" bit will get down to perception. I have this set, there is a lot of boxes and some number of clips

have to say, I saw this Zimi Bofors kit (or kitset for our NZ cousins  ;D ) in a close by LHS for $80 AUD and was tempted. BNA have them cheaper, but postage gets to the same price.
I've got the remains of that set which I need to dig out and find out what's left Bri ...that's the set I've been wanting more of as it's not bad at all but like most things model related here ..hen's teeth mate 😬
But I ain't gonna stop looking..see this where a good 3D printer would come in damn handy  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Wouldn't a 144 scale 144 cancel itself out, and therefore cease to exist ? I'd like to get one, mostly to compare to the OG.

The Wooksta!

Remember to add the armoured bulkhead in front of the instrument panel as it's never mentioned in the conversion information, it certainly wasn't in the Paragon ones.  The Oxtail ones had them and they blocked access to the nose section.  Mine was too far gone to add it when I found out - four years too late and it was fully assembled.  The forward bulkhead in the Tamiya Mosquito FB.VI is an ideal template.

TBH, I'm surprised that they continued with converted Mosquito bombers for Oxtail, rather than converted FB6s, because the armoured bulkhead and bulletproof windscreen would certainly be better for going up against ships firing back, and the 4 .303s would be ideal for keeping enemy gunners heads down (the post war tests with Highball FB.IV said that the combination of Highball with four machine guns was "promising".  Paul Lucas has seen documentation that fifty FB.VIs were to be converted to Highball for use in the Far East in 1945, but he's not said if they were to be navalised a la Oxtail or just straight conversions.  That's another pair to add to my Highball list...

The larger horn balance elevators of the Sea Mosquito would certainly help on landing.

No problem Lee. This build will be a real mish-mash of bits. A B.IV kit with the Highball added, and then a T.33 conversion set thrown in. I am thinking of adding the Thimble radar nose, the bomb aimers' area being blanked off with the armour anyway, just whether I add the smaller wheels or keep the kit ones?
