I'm installing the driver from the Tamiya Schwimmwagen.  While that sounds simple it is complicated by the fact that I have moved the steering wheel onto the correct side of the car.

Driver will be a civilian.  I have yet to decide which head to use.  I have a selection, as one does.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Driver has his army resting on the Esky, totally normal  ;D

Joe CalPo

Gah!  The figure without the head.

I'd love to drive this car if it doesn't decapitate the driver.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

zenrat

There is a pause while I paint the driver (and attach his head).  I can't join the top and bottom halves until thats done.  But once it is done its downhill to the finish.

Well I chose a head from my collection and test fitted it.  Too big.  Hornet heads are at the bigger end of the scale for 1/35 and the fact that it was wearing a ushanka meant that the top half of the car body wouldn't sit right down.
So, plan B.  I'll use the kit figures head and knock up a ball cap or flat cap for him to replace his steel helmet.

Ali have a six-pack of 1/35 heads with ball caps...

zenrat

Thsnks mate.  The kit head had a flat top for the steel helmet so I cut an egg shape piece of thin evergreen and glued it on top to make a peak.  A blob of PPP on top and i'll sand it to shape tomorrow.

Easier, quicker and cheaper.

Hat complete.  It turned out to be a flat cap.  Head primed. colour painting on the body begun.  I'm trying to do jeans.  Always trickier than other pants given how they fade and wear.
Also white undershirt, red shirt, and combat jacket.  He looks like an Italian flag.

Nice work on the figure
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
