A good bit of drybrushing in progressively lighter shades for the jeans, would probably get you the effect you want.

Thanks folks.  Those are just the base coats of each colour.  Once i've painted his belt & boots then i'll work on shading.

Head on, and glued to his seat.  This looks like a prototype "civilised" bobsleigh which proved too fat for standard runs...

Windows are glued into the top half of the body and when the PVA has set i'll seal young Gary there into the thing.

Top of body glued on after some last minute butchery to the RH petrol tank which was fouling the steering due to the RHD conversion.
