The gear off of one of the fixed gear Hawk 75 Export models would fit fine. The best solution would be to use the lower wing and landing gear of a fixed gear Hawk 75 model as the Hawk 75/P-36 and Hawk 81/P-40 had the same basic wing.

Coming along nicely. Fred.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Beat me to it as far as the basic idea's concerned Jon  You just got the detail  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I like the look of this big time!

Crazy modelling, but I like it.

One of my projects for 2026 is a 'what if the Supermarine  224 was the Hawker 224', basically 224ing a Hurricane.

Your build steals a huge march on that idea, so I'll be following it closely - partly for inspiration, partly to avoid unintentional plagiarism.

Thanks folks.

I think I fixed up the PSR today.  If so, painting time.

That was my thinking when I did my Hawker Cyclone. A Monoplane Fury even, which I think actually was the 'working title' for the Hurricane.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Hmmm... There's an idea; just graft Hurricane wings onto a Fury fuselage, simples!

buzzbomb

Fred, in the What can we do with the Hawker "Winds" builds, I can add the Hawker Willy Willy, the Australian Mod of the Hurricane to re-engine to the Pratt & Whitney to match other of the era Australian Aircraft.

Ok a thread hijack, but it sort of fits the discussion.

Captain Canada

That looks great so far ! Initial impressions are that you're nailing an aircraft from that period. Great stuff.

Then there is the marvelous Bristol 133, inverted gull wing like 224 and lumpen great
fairings for the retractable landing gear ala the P-35 and Northrop BT-1.
The question is: how to gull a Hurricane?
