Looks good!
I've been thinking that the Whirlwind needs a sleeker cockpit canopy. Something from a late model Spitfire/Seafire, or P-47/P-51/Bearcat, if it needs to be larger.

Waterspout does look good   And it's got BPF markings which adds to the attractivness  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm not sure.  It's a bit cheesy...

Has anyone done a radial-engined Whirlwind?

Mmm, not yet. But it's a great idea....Centaurus it is...

Centaurus is way too big and heavy for a Whirlwind size airframe. A later series
Hercules type would give you more than enough oomph from a smaller package.
Plus it has the rear swept exhausts so you can do the collected side exit exhaust
thing like a Sea Fury if so desired. The Bristol Freighter has 2,000hp Hercules 734
engines, so the Airfix kit could be a start for cowlings/nacelles, but even then you'll
see how big they are in comparison to a Whirlwind airframe.

The Gloster F.9/37 is the best example of an aircraft that had both radial and inline
engines, Bristol Taurus and R-R Peregrine respectively. It was faster with the Taurus.

As I've mentioned before, Dizzy has - IIRC he used Airfix Dinah nacelles, put a whacking great anti-tank cannon in the nose and tasked it for ground attack.

He may chime in with a link, otherwise it'll be on his Flickr feed somewhere.
