Steel Penguin

had my Ground Zero Games order arrive
11 space ships for my Japanese, UNSC and NAC flets, am eight strong squad of warrior nuns, a cargo robot and another set of the Bubblegum crisis figures ( these are for my youngest brother for crimbo),  and 5 ships and a nun as freebies very surprised with the amount of extras, especially as the ships are either for the 3 fleets i ordered for or a tramp freighter that fits with the order as well  :o   so they have been picked to go with the order, not just randomly picked out of a pile of stock thats not shifting.

I've just received my 1/24 MOTORMAX die-cast Ford Custom 1949 woody station wagon,  the only thing broken is the front bench seat. There's no scratches in the paint, black body with plastic fake wooden parts. I didn't know that this was a seven seater, third row of seats in the back and the spare tyre fitted at the rear. No door mirrors but I don't think that they would have been fitted to the lower spec model. Probably poverty-spec County Squire early edition before the Deluxe was available.

Sounds like the makings of a good party...

Got these today, from the  "Linhas de Torres" store here in Portugal, both for real world projects:
1x West Garage decals 1/48 "30 years of F-16 in the PoAF service" decals
1x JR model 1/72 A-7P Corsair correction set for the Hobbyboss kits

You cannot view this attachment.

Cheap, great printing quality on both items. Glad to finally see more Portuguese modelling brands coming up with good stuff for our country's AF aircraft.
This 1/72 A-7 set will be used on a Fujimi A-7A kit but i'll definitely buy the 1/48 set for the HB kit i've got in the stash.

Gondor

Just received from Scorpion Miniature Models

2 x 1/35 Centurion Replacement Tyres/Rims. These were bought as some of the AFV Club Centurions have real rubber tyres, no good for painting and the like.

Received tonight, that's after 9pm, from Jadlam

1 x 1/35 Tamiya Russian Heavy Tank JS-2 35289

1 x 1/35 AFV Club AF35102 Centurion Tracklink for all type conversion kit.

1 x 1/72 Revell 03784 NH90 NFH "Navy"

1 x 1/44 Amodel 1421 An-74. This should have been an A & A Models Douglas AD-5N Skyraider in 1/72  :banghead: Very surprised to receive that as the pick list was correct for the order. The An-74 is not even listed on their online catalogue. I have emailed Jadlam, not expecting a reply at this time of night though.

The personal touch, and a Seasonal 'Thank You'; always nice.
(and good for repeat business, but that's a bit cynical for this time of the year... ;)  )

That's a VERY handy pair of sheets, and they'll work on other stuff as well as TSR2s.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Picked up a 1/144 Revell Hunter from Hobbycraft for exactly half price! There were a few models with that offer, but the Hunter was the only one that piqued my interest.
