I had the ARII repop of that.  There was so much flash you couldn't see through the sprues.  I hope yours is not like that.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Thankfully not, it appears to be a 60/70's version when it was upscaled from 1/75 to the more normal 1/72. Not compared it to a contemporary single seater yet, but it doesn't look to be much bigger, makes me wonder if it has really been resized!

From SMTF Models in Pynton (partly from their spares boxes):

2 packs of Evergreen
Set of 144 x double-rail stanchions
Pack of head and tail lamps
Pack of TPWS Grids
2 x skips
1 x bucket
1 x watering tower tower and rail gauge (I think? Unlabelled packet)
1 x ribbed panel
2 x curved wagon roofs

All in furtherance of an Ian McQue inspired build I'm contemplating.

Highly unlikely.

To avoid the cost of re-tooling the company would just say "Meh! 1/75 - 1/72, close enough!"

Resizing the scale on the box, not the parts... an old game.

Thanks to being forewarned by Gary's Stuff on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6i-OhEJcL4,
Lidl UK have got Airfix and Revell kits in again. .........while I happened to be in my local store this morning it would have been rude not to partake

Came away with two each of the Airfix Spitfire I, Tomahawk IIB and BF-109E-3 Starter sets at £6.99 each.
My local store also had the New tool Sherman Firefly and Tiger I and the Airborne forces jeep.........
The Revell Offerings didnt fit my interests being some small scale ships, the most modern being the Titanic! and a load of 24th scale super cars.........
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Also from the middle of Lidl well one of their Coventry stores.

One each of the Spitfire 1A, Tomahawk and the Bf 109 E3

OTU a/c but silver finished. Air Racer and undecided.

Unlike many on Facebook and other modelling sites, I can't get excited about the Lidl and Aldi stocking Xmas Airfix kits, because it takes sales away from yer actual model shops that should be supported all year round.  And it's the same tired selection they always have.

For the first time ever, I had a new purchase arrive while I was actually reading this thread!  ;D

The Evri man brought me a Hase Air-ground weapons set which includes a couple of less fragile Harpoons for my Dragon build. I'm going to bin the beautifully moulded but VERY fragile ResKit ones!

But also found a branch of Antics, still with a good selection of kits, paints rail model and scratch building stuff, and shamelessly encouraged by Mrs SP
1:24 Aoshima van kits, the  star Kebab one, and the Fish stand one      as wile they are both wonderfully bonkers

sorry kit the varnish was from a wargames / collectable card / board games hobby store  on westgate street.  not a lot of model usable stuff in it.

Bought the Dream Model UH-1Y. The parts commonality between it and the AH-1Z is pretty cool. The kits us basically a Cobra ( minus the canopy, PE and decals ) with an additional sprue for the Huey body.
