Vallejo 70143 Model Colour Imperial Roman 16 Colour Acrylic Paint Set.
It was $73 NZ but since they sell for 6 bucks each it's a bloody good saving 👌 👍

As long as its colours you use...

...which having just looked at what's in the set, they would be.  Good buy.

Just had a look as well, and there's certainly some very useful colours in there. Reminds me of some of the old Humbrol Military Colours sets. Still got some in the "paint bin", and they are still usable

As an aside it's £51.99 in the UK, which is $120.12 NZ, so for once you are getting the better deal.

A Tonka fin overwhelms ANYTHING short of a B-52!  :o

Has been done twice on this board, a naval one, and I did a land-based version. IIRC called "Cheetah":

This would all come down to which 1/48 fuselage I prefer the look of against the 1/72 wings.

You could end up with a Tonka with Jag wings & tail (Yes, the tail will be coming off for the primary hybrid build) or a Jag with Tonka wings & tail (which could look quite amusing).

From Poland via evil-bay i got a set of transfers for 1/144 Zvezda Tu-134.
Three schemes, two are Aeroflot (as is the kit scheme) but what caught my eye was this Kaliningrad AVIA paint job.

That's a pretty UN-boring scheme for a Russian built airliner, nice one Fred.

Airfix 1/48 Spitfire TR9.

The IAC markings are being reused on a single seat Spitfire and the other markings in the kit wing go on a Spitfire IIa or a VB. Canadian markings are intended for the two seater and I have five bladed prop spare somewhere.

It looks rather MiG23/27 to me. Lovely model.

Ooooh, the Vanguard. I can remember watching her sail past the beach at Southsea in the 50s sometime, very impressive.

She was the very last battleship built anywhere in the world.
