Ya just never know what you'll find in places like that ,,i scored a Tamiya 48th F-15 from one here called Seagulls ,,,oh i also scored a Airfix 48th MK24 Spitfire to from em about a yr later i think and this place is not a model shop in any form  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

A quite large box arrived from Jadlam Models just now, rather surprising as I'd only ordered three 1/32 scale car kits intended for slot racer conversions.

Inside I found these...........

Note the Scale Reference Revell Contacta pot alongside (the Scale reference Cat is outside sunning itself!) and note these are 1/32 scale model cars!

On opening the box I found the sprues were still the original M'box plastic, just moulded in different colour styrene, but the same size as they always were!

That's the Tyrell P34-2 body moulding on the far right hand side of bag of sprues. They'd easily fit in a box half the size of the one they're supplied in!

Why Mr. Revell are you wasting SO much of the world's resources on so much wildly oversized packaging? It's almost criminal!  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

That IS ridiculous.  Matchbox sold them in boxes the same size as their 1/76 military and smaller 1/72 aircraft.

What are the prices like?  I was tempted by the repopped 1/32 Mercedes SSKL until I saw they wanted $43.

Jadlam are selling them for £15 each, down from £23.

The size of those boxes - that's just extracting the urine.

And I've just found that neither the Porsche not the Surtees include the clear sprue for their windscreens!  :banghead:

It's almost irrelevant on the Porsche as it's only 1.5 mm high and just a curved strip , but it's part of the aero package on the Surtees. Rude emails are already winging their way to Revell Gmbh...............

Thats not good.  Obviously not done to save costs given those prices.

Perhaps there wasn't room in the box for the clear sprue... ;)

It is Kit, just under 0.5mm steel, so it's a bit of a pain to clean up.
