OK, where did it come from then?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The guy who made my BMW turbo prop engines posted it, I will message him tomorrow and see if it is him that is making them if so, I am having one. At least.

The Wooksta!

Depending on price, I could do with two or three.

And there's an HX1 to go with it!

Gondor

I would be as interested, even in the backdrop for the pictures.

I am waiting for a reply from him, so when I know so shall you. I will ask about the backdrop too Alastair.

The backdrops are by Noys miniature, and the S-76 can be modified into the HX-1 he says. He is also thinking about doing Blue thunder, but the glazings could be a problem. Still waiting for a price on Airwolf, as it needs a bit of tweaking to get perfect.

As long as the armament is separate, it looks about bang on.

HX1 would just need some boxes on the sides for missiles and the nose mounted guns.

If he could scale the latter up to 48th to go with the Amt or Aoshima Airwolves that would be awesome.

Actually, the camera fairings above the turbo thrusters are too prominent and need fairing in more.  That crossed area at the back should be a plain raised plate.

The navigation lights behind the rotor head assembly and under tail also need adding. There are also two tiny doors that go behind the camera fairings for the sunburst/chaff dispensers.  These are all small things and could be added by the builder.

And she should have raised rivets!  The guys who built the replica used split peas to simulate them.

Blue Thunder's glazing is all flat panels IIRC.  The modeller could cut it from clear sheet if provided with templates.  Just 3d print the frame (and the interior).
But it doesn't have to be a complete kit.  Just give us a conversion for the Airfix Gazelle.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

There is already a 72nd conversion for it on Shapeways, but it costs an arm, a leg, eyes, sockets and quite likely penis too.  Buying a complete 48th Aoshima kit is cheaper.

If he took off the turbo thrusters and camera fairings to do a straight Bell 222, he'd get some mileage out of it as Airwolf II.

I am still waiting for a price on them, but I do know he is sa stickler for getting stuff right. I have a mangusta conversion set from him too, which looks bob on.

Just been told, £20-25 for the Airwolf kits.

i think that will come out as expensive as an Aoshima 48th kit for anyone like me, who would have to pay for the kit, postage and customs fees so i'll probably pass...
Regarding the Blue Thunder, i think the conversion for the Airfix Gazelle is a bad idea. That kit is OOP and hard to find at reasonable prices and a conversion would only serve those who still have a kit in the stash so, a complete job like the Airwolf is the way to go.
