...ESCI(?) 1/72nd part decal sheet with Lebanon, Mexico, Phillipines, Congo (Leopoldville) and Congo (Brazzaville) markings
ESCI 1/72nd decal sheet with Sudan, Somalia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba and Mucat & Oman markings

IME ESCI decals do not age well.  Hope i'm wrong though and these work fine.

Make sure you varnish them, as they'll disintegrate when merely threatened with water.  And they rarely conform to a curved surface.

Have they come pre-yellowed?

I've got various ESCI decal sheets now, but I'm not dependent on any of them and all of them werre dirt cheap, so nothing is going to get spoiled by these going wrong. I will however test a decal I don't need from any sheets I use in order to make sure (some of them are out of register anyway). Thanks for the warning.

A well padded envelope arrived from the USA with some VERY small louvres inside.

These are 1/87 scale resin louvres, designed for HO scale railroad vehicles, but which happen to be the correct width for the bonnet of my brother's 1/24 car model. They are mounted on decal sheet material so 'all' I have to do is cut them to size and apply like decals........................in theory.

In fact they are moulded FAR too close together so it looks like I'll have to cut them in ones, and apply individually, NOT the easiest of jobs, but they certainly look good so far.

Thanks to Fred Zenrat for the heads-up on where to find them.

Received a Hasegawa F-16I Sufa yesterday from Hobbylink Japan. I plan on using the Sufa parts on an F-16XL. First I have to convert the XL to a two seater. Much cutting to be done.

What a coincidence... I received a Hasegawa Sufa a few weeks ago, bought for the same reason although i won't have the cutting work to do as i will be using it with the Lonestar resin conversion for the two seat XL. CFTs and spine will have to be extended but shouldn't be very hard to do.

I hope the resin kit has better seats than then the Hasegawa or Italeri kits. So hard to find a 1/72 kit with good seats. I'll be ordering resin replacements when I get around to starting this project.

Nope, unfortunately, the seats are some of the parts that have to come from another source. I've got a few of the Quickboost resin seats for these kits.
The Kinetic, Revell and Tamiya Vipers have reasonable seats but i guess that the detail provided in resin parts is worth the money for a cockpit like the F-16's.

All the way from China, a Bronco 1/350 HMS Victorious SSBN (Thinking a display with the Trumpeter 1/350 Astute I got a while back.  Never done a sub but it looks fun)

From closer to home, Hase 1/48 P-47D "Pacific Jug"

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

You'll want an Airfix HMS Trafalgar SSN next to complete the line up unless you also want to do the Micromir HMS Resolution Polaris SSBN

Just arrived from Ali Express, 2X 10-packs of #11 knife blades.   <_<
Should last me a while, seeing as I tend to keep using them until they're long past their 'replace-by' condition.

A few days ago, from the same source, 2X Optical sights for Nerfs - and 2X banana mags for same are also on their way...

From today's IPMS Peterborough Show this was my 1/72 haul....

2x Sword Lightning Two Seaters [at 10 each I wasn't saying no]
1 Hasegawa X-29A
1 Hasegawa A-1H Skyraider with special bomb
1 Revell PBY-5A Catalina
1 Eduard Profipack MiG-21MF

And if anyone knows anything about the origins of the Catalina, if it is a Revell brand new tool or is say someone elses reboxed i'd be glad to know.

Also bought several 2nd hand decal sheets from CollectaKit who happened to have a newly acquired collection in, with several F-4/F-14 and F-16 schemes I didn't have and some generic 1/144 airliner windows and door decals, for my kipper fleet collection. Along with three J.Stoppel Decals sheets from Denmark, these are ancient but not yellowed [like Esci ones of similar vintage] covering various nations in Eastern Europe pre and during WW2, a sheet of Swedish national markings and a multi-national sheet with Belgian, Spanish, Bolivian and Ethiopian markings.

Good day had by myself, Mike McEvoy, Paul Carter, Richard and Martin.
