I had four large storage boxes in my shed containing about 15 years worth (1986 to 2001) of 2000AD and other sci-fi comics.  I have all the important stories as graphic novels or had picked out the relevant issues but couldn't bring myself to throw them away even though I knew I was never going to read them again.  I tried selling them at rock bottom prices on Evil-Bay and also offered them to comic shops but no takers.
Luckilly a nephew expressed interest and I off loaded them onto him with strict instructions not to bring them back.   ;D

I still however have boxes of car and motorcycle magazines and Fortean Times.

I still have all my old SAM's and Miniature Wargames magazines. I kept the MW ones even though I also have the compact discs  :banghead:

This sounds like baseball cards.  ;D    They seem like they should be worth something... it's difficult to just trash them, but with the baseball cards they made so many that decades' worth of them have zero value. People will have half a garage filled up with them to learn the entire lot is worth about $30.  ;D :o

My entire HOUSE is stuffed with magazines of every sort! All tech things, cars, ships, aircraft, railways etc, and there's hardly room to move because of them. And they go back to the 60s and 70s as well, so there's a LOT!  :o

Then you have a massive clear out and get rid of the lot, figuring the library will have their back issues anyway, or the publisher...

and the library trashes all their back catalogue (yes - not even selling them off!)

and the publisher ceases the title and deletes completely the forum... looking at YOU, Military Modelling!

What's the R-value of a wall of magazines?  ;D

Didn't know that. I've got a lot of them, somewhere, as well.

R value is a measure of heat conductivity.  ie. how good your mags are as insulation.

Bruce needs some work on his teeth! Otherwise paint on the eyes and you're there!

Talking of food, yesterday I made this.
Marmaillarde by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
That's 3 Citrus Marmalade (Seville Orange, Lemon & Lime).  2 Kg of fruits worth.  The Limes and Lemons were our own.

Today I puttied the wing gaps on the Analogue with PPP and a wet (sucked) cotton bud.
Took a while.

And here is a mock up of the Star Farrier (still not 100% on the name).

Neat work with the PPP. That type/size of seam is what the stuff's designed for.

I'm going to get some of their "ready measured" epoxy putty at Telford to see what that's like.

Well done on the marmalade front. Never been a fan of that or jam myself but I've a friend who makes pickles/chutneys to die for. Especially her Mexican Chile Chutney and lime pickle
