the 3 UNSC ships have been finished  2 extended range heavy cruisers from the River class
CHER 03 Mawrth  ( the name of one of the longest river systems on mars, its Welsh for Mars, so givers me double amusement for my ink)
CHER 07 Avon  ( hence why the NAC Blake dosnt have him as a captain, again its a bit of a double, being both the character name and the name of a river, that means river)
and the deep range explorer Boucher, another Blake reference, ( one of the other hull is already named the Nation)

Ive a chunk of heavy metal to go with them all for offensive use in a Sol class ER super dreadnought, already, though ill have to think up a suitable name from the series at some point, preferably a star name that was mentioned in passing as opposed to one of the main ones used for an episode,  but that will require research, and going through wiki, the program guide and episode watching, which all take time.

Off the top of my head, how about   ANTARES--the rival of Mars,   ALTAIR--- the eagle:   FAFNIR---the dragon   or  VEGA--the vulture.    All of these remembered from an astronomy lecture I attended aeons ago.

Also names used on RAF Transport Aircraft in the 1960s and 1970s with the exception of Fafnir. I think the Antares name was used on a heavy duty Army truck too..

It being the 1st week of Feb i am as  normal on holiday...
so i will be hopefully, modelling, watching some stuff on DVD and youtube and generally being not working.  :thumbsup:

got some of the ships put away and re boxed some others,  all the GZG deep range stuff is now together in one place. and the Japanese fleet is now together in a drawer unit, in the modeling room.
the return wheels are going on the suspension units for the AVRE, gently tootling with them, its a Tamiya kit so fun, and easy, and dosnt force things into unnecessary complication.
