That's SO irritating! There's loads of YouTube stuff about the APT (Advanced Passenger Train) most of which is all totally WRONG, and that's not a matter of opinion, I was right there and DID it, so I know what I'm talking about.

But when I point this out in the comments there's always some prat who comes up with 'But I read somewhere that *********** so you must be wrong'

No, the 'somewhere' was wrong too, damn it!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Don't believe everything you read on the internet."

Or the old quote (from WW2? Vietnam?) 'Believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear.'

The Rat

I don't know where the poster found this picture, but it's fascinating. Except for the tail turret, the layout is identical to the Vickers Valiant, with a lot of 'sleekness' added.

It also looks like something in one of the Thunderbirds comic episodes.

Perhaps not so much of a whif but a canceled project:

"Big Al" snowmobile from 1971. Expected to go 300 km/h but never got to race.

Doesn't seem to be too short of engines, does it?  :o
