The next model will be a more modern one.

The Boeing/Kawasaki Type 85 Mōko - "Ferocious Tiger".  Inspired by the Boeing Skyfox, this will be a light ground attack aircraft for the JASDF.

The model to use is an old (but re-boxed) Airfix F80 kit:





But it will be quite modified. To start with the elevators have to be moved to another location:



And work on the cockpit started

As the Mōko will by quite tail heavy, add some weight in the nose. Hope this is enough.

As the Type 85 Mōko will be a ground attack aircraft, as some pylons to the wings so some armament can be added.

I've thought at times about a conversion like the Skyfox but as a single seater. Where will you get the engines?

The engines will be 3D printed. I am currently looking at various 3D models of aircraft I have if there is somethng I can "reuse".

Here's a quote from Wikipedia.

My understanding was that the engines and cowlings were taken straight off a biz jet.

You could possibly use the tubes from ballpoint pens? Or large-diameter bombs.
Need some blade faces maybe, but the basis is there.

Keep in mind that the Type 85 Mōko is not strictly a Skyfox, but inspired by it.
For its special operation where it is primary designed for, it will need osme very powerful engines. But more of this when the backstory for it is completed.... 

Anyway, first tests look with the engins look not too bad, pics will follow when I am back form vacation.

After a short vacation, my engineer continues to work on the Type 85.

While the putty&sanding continues, I printed a small dummy model of a P80 to test the camo to be used on this plane.
