Like standing over the prime meridian - one foot in the future and the other in the past.

IIRC the Star Trek 'star date' system is based on GMT.

Yup did that as a kid with my dad. We used to go out every Sunday until I got to senior school. Went all over London using his rail travel card, he worked for BR, great days. In later years we went down the pub every Sunday  :cheers:

I do that on the Newcastle Metro when I'm up there, much to the amusement of my grown up nephews & nieces, the younger ones just look at me with an "we're not with him" look in their eyes  ;D
