But then did every RW Hurricane actually match all the other ones too?  ;D

😂

Oddly enough the Venerable Airfix Tin-Wing Hurricane I matches plans really well.  It's reputedly captures the Hurricane's shape really well - better than most other 1/72 Hurricanes, other than the Airfix rag-wing and ArmaHobby kits.  That said, I believe the AZ kits are also strong shape- and outline-wise.

Anyway, the VATWH is a good utility kit.

I must admit I do like the rag-wing Hurricane I. I've got an ArmaHobby one in The Loft, but have yet to open the box. One day..........................

I do hope ArmaHobby release a Mk IV at some point.  Would certainly invest in one.

The Airfix rag-wing is a lovely kit, with just a little bit of fiddling necessary with the undercarriage struts. The Arma Hobby is also a really nice kit, but again it needs a little bit of fiddling with the undercarriage, although not in the same way as the Airfix. Odd.

I found that  with the first one I built. I'll have a look at the Arma one when I get home this weekend.

Early last year I bought an Aeroclub 1/72 Hurricane fabric wing resin conversion on ebay, that I had never heard about before. I spoke to John Adams about it when I collected the Skybirds masters , only a handful were made, at the same time Magna released their own conversion, so it was never released in the Aeroclub range. It is far cleaner than the Magna one, and was designed to fit the Airfix tin wing kit.

Was that an Aeroclub conversion Colin? One of John's 'secret projects' I bet.  ;D

He used to come over to the Trent Plastic Modellers meetings in Long Eaton with a small box of '.....stuff I'm working on......', some of which duly appeared on the market and some were never seen again.  ;D

Yes, I think it fits the never seen again category!

Decided to take the one week plunge, it'll end in tears, I'm sure 😂

Anyway, chugging up to London for another shift at Shakespeare's Globe.  Sat behind me is what can only be described as a coven of cackling harridans.

Time to don the cans and listen to an episode of The Infinite Monkey Cage.

My mum worked as a bus conductress for many years. One Saturday evening in the early 1960s, she was fascinated to overhear the conversation of two young "ladies", who were not bothering to whisper, confident that, on a bus full of English people, no one would understand them speaking in French. They were discussing their plans for the evening which, in repeatable terms, involved picking up a couple of random guys in a club, taking them back to their shared flat, swapping partners at midnight, and then comparing notes in the morning. :o

Mum waited for them to get up to leave, then said, "thank you" in English, followed by, "good hunting and I hope you enjoy your evening, ladies" in the perfect French she spoke all too well. They both blushed to the brown roots of their dyed blonde hair and scuttled off the bus without saying another word...

Which only goes to show how careful you have to be, and the dangers of making wild assumptions...

A friend who drove busses once had a couple of passengers conversing in Maori, again confident that the Infidels weren't conversant, and slagging off about one of the other passengers that IIRC was disabled.
You know, the usual BS...
As they got off, he wished them a Good Evening in the fluent Maori he spoke...  :banghead:  :banghead:
