And did I mention I'd like to find CHEAPER ones? Preiser and Masterbox have some great stuff, but the prices for them (if you can find them) in NZ are deal-breakers.

Still, I can always make a blank/generic and cast it.

Yeah, Preiser do 'Adam' and 'Eve' figures in different scales, which are multi-part nude figures with enough parts in each box to make about seven (but not all in the same pose). They look ideal for a few things I have in mind, but at 38 for the 1/35th set? Nope, not happening...

I have a fair few bags of the old Airfix plastic figures from before I could afford white metal and most of them still have their paint on them. If I remember rightly (it was 55 years or so ago  :o) we used to wash them in warm, soapy water, and then dip them in white glue.

I've had a set of the Eve figures since I got them in the UK back in '95... still haven't had the courage to actually use them, as I was never willing to pay the cost for more... though now I have a set of the Masterbox Pinups, I think I will probably get on with it and do some of the figures I have had in mind for a while.

If I remember rightly (it was 55 years or so ago  :o) we used to wash them in warm, soapy water, and then dip them in white glue.

That rings a bell, I'm pretty sure that was the technique.

Or paint them with diluted (with Water) white glue.

I wonder if Mosquito wings would fit on a Heron

No.  They won't.

No.  They won't.

That almost sounds like a challenge.  ;)

The Heron is an extremely graceful aircraft which it would be difficult to perform major surgery to without ruining its looks.

A discussion in the car on the way home from a model club meeting has made me realise there is another range of kits Airfix could be re-popping - their 1/16 scale motorcycles.
While they are in an odd scale they do include subjects not moulded by anyone else such as the Ariel Arrow and BSA C15 which could prove popular.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I did think about putting Hornet wings on a Devon, then I looked at it and realised that it'd be impractical.  If it won't work with a Devon, it won't with a Heron.

I'm hoping that someone will do RAF or RN markings for the Heron.  Caracal?

They would be nice, I nearly bought a c15, until I tried to start it, my hips don't like kick starts

The motorcycles would be lovely!

The Honda CB450 and the BMW R65.

I reckon they would sell well amongst the 'Hipster' types, who have now all decided to build themselves 'Cafe Racers'.
Very trendy now to look like a lumberjack and ride a motorcycle!
(I knew I'd look fashionable eventually, although, my mrs said I need to look 'more groomed and not scruffy'!)  ;D

I have the Revell BMW R65, bought cheap from a charity shop. It's either 1/8th or 1/6th scale, I am thinking of putting a scratch build sidecar on it.
