I think they got me... probably WILL be renewing my Airfix Club membership... ;D

The Canberra(s), Skyvan(s), SRN.4 and "Queen Mary" (Recovery Set) will definitely get my money, the 1/76th tanks might too. Ju 52? Hmm... don't have a whiff idea right now but you never know.

Not my scales, but I'm sure the 1/35th Saracen and Stolly Limber will go down well. What's the betting on a new tool Saladin for 2027/2028 eh? Likewise I'm sure the 1/48th Spey Phantom, Bulldog, two-seat Jag (in Raspberry Ripple!), Spec Ops Lysander, Export Gannets and SAR Sea King will all please a lot of people.

Pretty good shot at giving everybody something I'd say: nice one Airfix!

Quote from: The Wooksta! on January 14, 2026, 08:06:10 AMCanberra B.2?  Nice, but I've enough Cranberries tucked away, I really don't need more.  And a modern Ju 52/3m would be very good - the Italeri and Heller ones are late 1970s and are still really nice kits (there's always been some controversy over which is the better kit, as both have errors but annoyingly, not that same thing.  IIRC the Heller one is marginally better, although Italeri did more variants).

Assuming they've LIDARed the one at Cosford, is it a genuine ex-Luftwaffe one or a post war French one?  There are some differences.

Note no new or old cars, and the only quick build legoish kit is a new marking option for the Typhoon.
Therfore more focus on their mainstream lines.

Like the news of the new Canberra, but feel the single airframe covering 1968-81 is a waste especially as it was buit in 1954 !!!
They could have picked front line options from 50s, 60s and then 2nd line option

i gotta have that new Camberra B.2, maybe put some Rhodesian decals on it
the 1/144 Hovercraft and the 1/72 Skyvan are a very welcome rerelease

thank god they hit the brakes on all the Spitfires, a lovely plane, but there are way too many offerings out there right now  :-X

I like the idea behind the Bader set. Think they'll ever do a "Winkle" one?

Whilst I realise their VC-10 has been surpassed, it's a shame the other airliners haven't been released.

The Canberra is only £30, which I find more than a bit surprising.

On the other hand, the Skyvan is £22. I was kinda hoping it'd be about £16, but then it does have a LOT of parts to it.

Or a HUGE box!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Given that he flew  487 different  aircraft in his  career,  I suggest that  even at 1/72 scale we are thinking in terms of a container load.

85th anniversary of the campaign to sink Bismarck.

Well done, Airfix.  Canberra/Skyvan deffo for me, maybe a Dauntless for whiffing, and as mentioned earlier a Ju52 if research throws up more on post-WW2 British-operated examples.

I wonder what 'surprises' may be in store during 2026?

Bleriot? Wright flyer? Montgolfier balloon? After all, just look at how well pre-grouping sells in the model railways world

Erm, no, he didn't.  There's quite a few in that log book he didn't actually fly, the Zero being one - he didn't go to the Far East and there were none flightworthy in the UK.

Does the Bader set come with a set of 48th scale legs in white metal?

I'll get me coat.
