QuoteSee you at Telford then. Do you want Wifs for the stand?
Sorry, I meant to reply to this sooner.

It'd be good to have a couple of things that weren't built by me or Ken, so it depends on the nature of the whiff (and it's being 1/72)

In theory, because the Soviet Aircraft SIG is basically real world, I try to stick to whiffs that have a basis in reality. So The Tu-22 Interceptor, the Twin-Kobra, the single seat MiG AS and the radial Hurricane (if finished in time) will all go into this year's display but my Il-10/Wyvern hybrid won't, as it's purely imaginary. However, I'm not always consistent - I'll probably include my fictitious MiG-3 floatplane just because I like it and the same may apply to the speculative MiG-29 UAV.

Do you have anything in mind?

Will Mrs.Falcon be there? I promised (AGAIN!!) the Rocky Horror Show album(s) to give her something to look at!
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Hobbes

I'll be there the entire weekend (arrival time Friday depends on traffic, ), I'll be bringing a few models for the What-if SIG.

QuoteI was thinking about the fixed wing version of the Su-20 export model. There was a single example built (I believe) but was going to do an in-service version. Depends on the compatability of the two models mind!
Sounds good to me. Bring it along if you finish it.

Mossie

Wanted to, but Missus Mossie wanted a holiday, guess who won? -_-   Well, I hoped I might be able to get something modelling or aviation wise out of these hols as recompense, but no.  First we going to Canada, then when work changed my hols it was Egypt.  Then the missus changed her mind & said San Francisco, great there was that model shop that was mentioned that had tons of classic kits, I could bring some back with me & make a few quid.  Then no, SF's too expensive, it'll have to be Las Vegas (it was a two centre as well at some stage).  That's okay, the Nellois show would be on when we there, great!  Oh no, she changed her mind again & after going around most of the Carribean it's now Jamiaca, it's booked & that's final now (thank God)!

Jamaica, so the missus can lounge around in the sun & I'll bored stiff.  What's there to do aviation wise there, sod all I bet!  I know it sounds crazy, but I really would rather be in Telford!  :dum:

Anyway, have a good time there guys, it's not like I'd have any models ready anyway!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hobbes

So sneak a few 1:144 kits into the luggage. At least you'll have something to build...

Got my advance tickets through yesterday with my 2008 membership  :D

Good man......all weekend?

Looking forward to all this,  and putting the finishing touches to the Crusader Spitfire VB (1/48th) at the moment. I'm also wondering if I have time to build a "jousting" helicopter? I've not got anything in 1/72nd (yet) so will be on the look out for one (or two) when I'm in Cardiff. Obviously the Cobra springs to mind.

Has anyone else got their free tickets yet?

I'm not sure if I have any and whether I need to apply for them despite being an IPMS member. Still waiting for the IPMS Forum mods to let me loose on that forum so I can ask there....

What do we need to do about gaining setup access on the Friday evening?

NIck - your tickets should come with your Membership renewal. Mine was up for renewal at end September by DD whence I get my tickets very near the show. If your membership was last December say then you would have got them then.

As for friday it depends if your a "volunteer" I suppose. Ask our Glorious Leader. Other then that give me a bell on my mobile when you get there as I'll probably have booked in the hotel for all six of us by then - Me, you, Thorvic, Aircav, Hobbes and not forgetting our Glorious Leadrer (all clap hands in the special way   )

Panic over!! Found the SMW ticket in the bottom of my bag along with my IPMS membership card! :dum:

Just getting the models ready with the finishing touches. If things work out like I hope then I'll be bringing these;

Sanger spaceplanes
Harrier (viff whif)
Forger (viff whif)
J-10
Hind
and maybe something else!

Volunteer? Moi?! You are joking!
