Excellent photos there Jim!
I can only hope it's sunny at Duxford next week.

Unusual one, an autogiro.  Don't think I've seen one before, possibly at an airshow once.

What autogyro, where? I've searched and I can't see one. :(

SUPER pics Jim, well done.

Noisy buggers, aren't they, Fred?   :banghead:

Certainly are.  Louder than the usual police, news and ambo choppers.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Not there, over my house!  Well, close enough, in the next village.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thank goodness for that, I spent a couple of minutes looking for it  ;D

Time for something different...

If you aren't sure where you are landing, the British Army has helpfully spelt it out for you! https://www.google.com/maps/@51.0669386,1.0689348,182m/data=!3m1!1e3

Go to the left a bit and you'll see the FIBUA range (Fighting In Built up Areas). It was built in the 1980s to resemble a European town. There's another one along the coast near Lydd https://www.google.com/maps/@50.9287145,0.845819,1688m/data=!3m1!1e3

I used to have to drive to Sacramento, California to McClellan AFB and I could see the C-5s from miles away just hanging in the sky like Zeppelins.

When Airbus still used the Super Guppies to carry their wing sets from Filton, about 15 miles from my front door, to Toulouse Mrs_PR19 and I would watch them 'in the circuit' before they landed. In Filton's case the 'circuit' was a straight in approach from the Bristol Channel and it took those Guppies for EVER to get on the ground. Side on they looked just like airships too!

The Belugas are far too fast these days, they just look like fat Airbuses.  ;D

Not today, but on a work project in a wildlife refuge in southern California, I saw several Cal Fire- forest fire aircraft- grumman turbo trackers doing practice runs overhead.  These are re-engined US Navy ships from the 1960's.  Cool to see them flying, but California has a highly developed "Fire-Industrial Complex" set up to battle a thoroughly natural process.  My spin is if you stop any fires for 100 years, when stuff finally burns it will turn out to be a doozy.  Which, in fact, it turned out to be.  Anyway, a different color scheme:
