Captain Canada

Good eye ! I'd love to see one, and I'd really like to see one do a tactical display at an airshow. Probably have to wait until I can get back over to the UK as I doubt I'll see one here anytime soon.

That's brill!

I've seen it on TV a number of times but only in the shortened version, and that misses out quite a bit. Love the warning text on the lift-up door as he arrives 'DANGER -  Dramatic Entrance'  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Very strange chopper over East London. Half of me swears it was a Puma, the other half that it was something similar but Russian.

Anything to do with the new Bond movie ?

As for Rambo and Warburton's it's put me off their bread for some reason

Heading back from Oxford toward home today I saw a 'C-17' turning steeply onto the approach for Brize Norton.

Then I saw it didn't have any winglets, and realised it was an A400M, the first one I've ever seen!

I'd have gone by the engines

But from a distance you can't see the props and the engines tend to get hidden under the wing. The T-Tail dominates the view, as it does with the C-17.

when i was in Antwerp yesterday for a fundraiser, ive seen a ex-Belgian Army Piper Super Cub flying over, and little later, an old Stampe SV-4b biplane was doing some aerobatics  ;D

this morning, me and my GF were awoken by the thundering sound of a pair of radial engines, as we had a low level fly-over from a T-6G Harvard/Texan and a Hawker Fury (land based Sea Fury)

Some 4 engine transport with high tail. Not sure if it was in a pale military grey, or if it was a civilian to pick up some Red Cross stuff.

Recently, I've been hearing more fast jets than since the fighter squadron was disbanded. Lots of test flying? Alert duties? Something to do with Arctic Challenge Exercise 2015, going on further north over Finland, Sweden and Norway?

I was hoping for temporary white topsides paint jobs for some reason.

Wrong season.  It's spring up north.  I'd expect at best grey with white splinters.

And if they happened to come a little further south, they'd have to repaint to 3 shades of green  ;D
