Not over the house, but over the Atlantic City Expressway, a mysterious back MD-500.  Couldn't grab a snap, because the traffic light I was at on the overpass had turned green

Nothing man made but sure as HeII was seen over the house this lunch time.
I do not know what the correct meteorological term for it is but it was only visible for about ten minutes while the sun was hiding behind the cloud.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

You get really good ones at night with the moon in winter...

We'd see a pile of them flying everyday while I was in school in Grand Prairie Texas. Eurocopter had a facility right across the road from us

We went on a job the other day, and as we were leaving I asked "where are we going anyway ?" The answer ? The Sombra pool, a gas field close to Selfridge ANG base. Of course, I forgot my camera. And of course, a lovely KC-135 flew right over us.....argh. One more kick at the cat though, as we are going back Sunday. Fingers crossed !

You should pack your camera as a matter of course.
Apart from anything else it will prevent you being abducted by aliens.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

At work today I was very busy so no photos, but I did see the following...

Yellow SAR RAF Sea King on a tour of London
Bell Jet Ranger on tourist flights
Robinson R44 on tourist flights
Met Police Eurocopter EC145 chasing villains
Sikorsky? on TV/film flights all morning over South Bank and Savoy Hotel

De Havilland Dragon Rapide HG691, tourist flight out of Duxford
Couple of Airbus 380s going to Heathrow, these are now so common it's hardly worth reporting!

On the river....
The Royal Barge Gloriana leading the The Royal Watermen's Tudor Pull, a pageant of traditional rowing boats being 'pulled' from Hampton Court to the Tower of London. I happen to know and work with one of the Royal Watermen, there are only 24 of them in all.

Just before these chaps were a bunch of small pleasure boats with silly names  like Gay Venture, Janthea, Lucy Lavers, Sundowner, Angele Aline and Warakei II, all off to France for a jolly old time.
By next Saturday there'll be nearly 60 of these Little Ships gathered together in France for the 75th Anniversary of the Evacuation of Dunkirk.

Cool. Always nice to have a busy day of spotting both in the air and on the water ! Would love to see a yellow Sea King.

Been awhile since I've seen one in Canada as well. Hopefully they send one around the airshow circuit this summer. Not that I ever seem to get a chance to go anymore....

They're filming the new James Bond on the Thames between MI6 and the Eye tonight. Chasing a pair of speedboats down river is a silver/grey Eurocopter, possibly an AS365 which is better known as the US Coast Guard's Dauphin.

An hour back as I was installing new downspouts, Historic Flight Foundations B-25D Grumpy flew over the house.  ;D
