Toad, those look like MC-12W Liberty recce machines, but I haven't seen one in overall grey.........

Could be Army's.  No tail numbers or data stencils...unless they're going/belong to some other agency that shall remain hidden in the shadows.

Hawkeye

Probably there for training or as a rest stop on their way to/from a forward theater of operation. Who knows maybe Canada has purchased a couple for battlefield communications.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Mossie

Two F-15's were playing around above Hull University, circling several times at medium altitude.

I later had to go to York, got stuck behind a military conoy, about 6 big Leyland-DAF 8x6 DROPS, (two carrying Landrovers on their backs, one a trailer) & a single MAN HX.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks for the comments guys ! And I have to agree...it's nice to see all these CDN birds !

Now...looke what I spotted there today ! Who's birds are these ? I'm guessing somebody is doing some mods for the USAF ? Be pretty cool if they were RCAF or Canadian Army birds !

They're MC-12s. Here's a link to the story from my local spotter's site:http://www.opshots.net/2011/09/king-airs-to-kandahar-us-using-king-airs-as-spy-planes-flying-magazine/

A Chinook  heading  south-west over North Carlisle, with a Land Rover dangling underneath it  and earlier, over my house, guess what?    Yes, it's the Air Ambulance again!

Not exactly seen over my house, but just a few miles away at the local airport (Huntsville International).  The Atlas Air 747-400s are a pretty common sight, as they have one flight in each day (I think) to and from Europe to our intermodal facility.  I was somewhat surprised (and excited) to see the two Dreamlifters, though.  They've been parked there all month.  According to a newspaper article, Boeing normally bases these somewhere in Florida, but moved them here earlier this month to get them out of the path of the tropical storms that were passing by.  They are supposed to head back home soon and I hope to be around to see them take off.  Forgive the quality of the images, as they were from my iPhone camera.

More like a 'Nightmare Lifter'! That is just SO ugly.......

Yeah, yeah, I know all about Guppies and Belugas and stuff but that Boeing 'thing' is an all time low for me.

T-6 Texan.   Not that the Texan is all that unusual but what I liked about it was the response from my 8 year old daughter:  "Oh Daddy!  I know that sound.  It's really good."   (said all little girlish and with music notes in her voice)

Good girl.

The Dreamlifter is much better looking than its Airbus counterpart!  Boeing will probably not launch until there is something for them to haul from one of their facilities. These things are surprisingly fast but do suck jet fuel.

It was nifty to see up close when the first one visited AirVenture 2008.

That is quite definitely a matter of opinion!!!!

Absolutely. I MUCH prefer the Belouga personally... Even the Guppies were better than this... er... thing.

Those rivets are way overscale!

I think if they had bothered to blend in the forward area better it wouldn't look so --- agricultural
