Good to see the 300SL re-popped, it was always good. But can that 1/32 MGB be the original one? The sides were separate parts to everything else.

Revell has revealed theyre 2026 lineup, there's a couple of nice new releases, but nothing spectacular really.
but i think some of you might be happy with the 1/72 NB-52/X-15 repop

Define "spectacular". Who needs "spectacular" anyway? 😉😂

The Great Eastern hasn't been re-released since 2002. I remember my dad building it when I was 6 or 7 and I was impressed by the size and details. I may get one.

I hadn't realized the Airfix 1/32 MGB wasn't the only one... huh...
The Jag SS looks nice, but I may be more persuadable if the redo the MG-TC...

I'd be tempted by some of the ex-Matchbox 32nd cars, but not at Revell's prices.

Know how  you feel.  Though not really a fan of wheely things or, big scales, I was also tempted by the big Simba 8 x 8. Unfortunately, the  price tag of £133 is as huge as the real vehicle.

The Airfix one is a much better bet, having a one piece body shell.

There is a 1/24 MGB Roadster kit by Aoshima.  Hiroboy do an MGB GT transkit for it.

The MGB was originally released in 1963, one-piece body, opening hood/bonnet with engine etc.
The Austin-Healey 3000, Sunbeam Alpine and the TR4 are all the same as the MGB, one-piece body etc.

So which were the ones with the side pieces added on? I distinctly remember building some.

Aoshima did quite a few boxings and Airfix reboxed it. I've one of the latter tucked away.

I remember building the Airfix 32nd MGB in the early 1990s.  Nice enough kit.

Revell had some in the '50s of Big 3
luxury cars with multi-part body.

You may be thinking of Aurora, they had an extensive series of sportscars, mostly British, that have the separate body sides. No MGB in that series, just a TD with the body split down the middle. They did do a Healey 3000 and a TR3. Oddly enough the XK120 of the same vintage has a one-piece body.

I have the Mercedes 300SL in the cheesy customizing release.

This may be of interest, especially as Monogram ended up with the Aurora tooling, some of which went to Atlantis when Revell sold them a lot of the old Revell and Monogram tools:

Yep, I have one in the Stash.
