With you blokes talking about the XK-120 Jag that clicked something in the noggin,,so I checked the stash and yep ..ive got a Revell XK-120 and with it was a Swift Model 24th scale Mercedes Benz RW 196 F1 car which is missing one of its tyres  :o
This is might turn into a single seater hotrod...think I've got a small enough V8 to fit it as its got no engine.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Ooh, Victorian aircraft carrier whif fodder.  Imagine Sir George Cayley having invented powered heavier-than-air flight.

I remember my dad building the Great Eastern when I was a kid. I couldn't believe the level of detail, compared to some of my Aurora kits. I'm sure the detail will look primitive now, but I'll be buying this kit.

Hey, Nostalgia is as good a reason as any to buy a kit (and in fact, better than many other reasons I've used) so why not!

I always wanted to see a 15th/16th century warship with Da Vinci air screws on a flat section above the stern.

I always hope for the best.

Quote from: Charlie_c67 on May 19, 2026, 02:11:18 PMNew 1/32 Harrier has been announced!

A tin winged early Harrier is long overdue in this scale but, it's a bit of a dampener to get the news and then be told the actual kit is about 18 months away!

However, C'est La Vie. I guess the reasoning is
sound 😊. I'm not enthusiastic either about a separate engine for display. To me personally it just represents extraneous and unnecessary parts to feed the bin monster. However, that's just me and, I totally get that a lot of customers will appreciate it.

I'm not a fan of 1/32 per se but, the combination of the Harriers very modest dimensions and , Revell's equally modest ( at least currently) prices makes it a winning combination pour moi!  If its as modestly priced as the forthcoming Hunter T. 7, affordability will certainly boost its sales.

The two seater variants certainly hit the spot for me. A two seat "Wild Weasel" Harrier comes to mind 😉😂👍

And why not? In ANY scale.................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I was thinking that applying Kit's rule number 1 might be applicable as well, especially in view of the Harriers short range, lack of a "wet" wing AND, the need to accommodate extra fuel and, a decent load of things that go bang😉😂!
