Revell has revealed its new release for the first quarter of 2026.

im very happy to see the 1/144 Puma and Super Connie again, the old 1/87 Firefighter boat looks to have a lot of WHIF potential.
for the rest, im a bit underwhelmed, i just hope some more exciting releases will be announced in the future.

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

I like the re-release of the Simba 8x8 airport fire engine, I've always fancied one. I'd probably do it real world, although it's crying out to be converted into an IFV.

I didn't know that "Flitzer" meant "streaker" in German - now I feel the need to do one in overall Humbrol Flesh...

Or a ballistic missile TEL. It could even be a TEL disguised as a fire truck...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Thanks for that Fred, at least on there we can see what scales some the car kits are, we couldn't on the vid!

Some REALLY interesting 1/32 stuff coming out, all very suitable for slot racing conversions.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Oh, that's better, I dealt with it by just skipping on past their yapping. A list would have been much better.

Thanks Phil, I'll take the warning, its a big model so likely to be costly to boot.

I did think of you when mentioning bashing it, what did you do with it?

Bashing it is a good idea ,,i'm sure at one point i was thinking ball pin,,or block or maybe deadblow but i'd probably have gone with sledge  ;D
The size of this thing is the ,,well thing which will get ya mate,,it's fecking huge and thats part of the problem ,,it's also very very flimsy and annoying to handle ..the wheels and tyres are terrible,,the tyres being  to big for the rims ..mine was destroyed in the "Incident"  ..but if i was gonna wiff one first things first ,,replace those wheels ..RC car ones from a race truck or something like that would work and now unlike then there's a massive amount of choices out there to choose from and brace the hell out of the super structure ...once you've twisted and bent parts into shape so they'll fit together ..its basically a giant rectangle box with tyres to soft to takes its own weight ,,mine really did suck ..others might be different and the body i could sort but those wheels were a huge problem back then .
I was going to wiff mine as you'd expect but convert it to 35th
It's so big that in 35th the hardest part would be deciding what you were going to build from it ..mobile command base ,,an alien world explorer and waste land armoured transport ,,dude there's so many different things you could do its annoying as poop .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .

Ted Taylor built one back in 1988 when it was first released. Evidently the instructions had a number of
errors, of the "build it per the instructions and it won't go together" sort.

Sounds like a 'mare, I'll probably give it a miss. It's a shame, I do like airport fire engines and kits are few and far between. Maybe I should plump for Hasegawa's Panther instead, much more manageable in 1/72.

Plus it has one of those long gazillion piece ladder frame setups where if you get a couple of the crosspieces out of true it can throw the whole thing off. A building jig is about the only way to make sure it actually stays true.
