You've convinced me lads, I'll save my money!

The only item in Revell's releases for 2026 season to interest is the F15C in Weapons School markings. But a couple of traders had the Tornado IDS in Luftwaffe and RAF two kits in one box for about £20 to 25.

You could use it as the basis for the Jordan Tractor from 'Aliens', but there again it's an expensive way to do that; much easier, cheaper, and less wastage to use a couple of the Tamiya 4X4 racers.
Or find a couple of cheap toys with the correct wheels.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see the Simba 8 X 8 being reissued and, having actually built one about 20 years ago, I don't recall any significant issues in assembly so, I'd be happy to grab another. It's a most impressive model when built. What DOES concern me however is the comment about the size of the model which "offers the option for lighting and sound" I really hope it isn't being offered as one of those stupidly expensive, gimmick riddled models loaded with electronic bling and frippery. Frankly, I think that just ruins what is otherwise a pretty decent model.

Revell has released some CAD previews of a new tool Messerschmitt Bf109E in 1/72 scale for 2026
i wonder how this one wil compare to the Airfix offer?

How many 1/72 Me-109 kits does that make on the market now?

Does it exceed the number of 1/72 Spitfires even?

[Cynic mode off]
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The only Revell kit I am after is the new tool F15C 1/72. Believed to be imminent.  The only decorated example they had was at Telford last year. Still Spitfires and 109s pay for most of the rest of the hobby.

Overall, I find the Revell 2026 programme quite good. I've already got the ARTEMIS  SLS and, Fw-200C. The Arado Ar-196 is in my list as are the JAS-39 and 1/72 Gannet. I'll definitely be up for the NB-52/X-15 combo as well. I missed out the F-15 announcement so, that's for me as well.

If I recall there are are a couple of Luftwaffe 46 subjects too and, if you throw in the recent reissues of the Bv-222 and, Bae-146, that adds up to (for me anyway) a good modelling year, especially if you throw in the Meteor and, Hunter T. 7

The Wooksta!

There's nothing that interests me, perhaps the Condor but I've a Trumpeter one that's good enough.  I'll just wait for the sheer disappointment of the Airfix announcements in a fortnight.  Always something new to dislike.

Well there's your Halifax.

I wonder if they are going to chrome all the sprues of that Red Bull Mitchell?

I can see a couple of Connies winging their way here.  Definitely needs RAF Transport Command colours.
I don't do boring grey jets and that C-17 cries out for the RAF Sand /Dark Earth/Black finish. 😉😂.

The Ju-290 is very welcome again. It is advertised as the A5/A7 so, I'm assuming they'll include the parts for both versions (originally released separately). in the one box.

My partner (bless her 😘) has very kindly pre ordered the NB-52/X-15 combo from Jadlam Models (pre order discount at £99.95) as an early birthday prezzie for me.

Though heavy on reissues, I think
the Revell 2026 programme actually outshines Airfix. Obviously just a personal view but, Revell and Italeri get most of my money this year

The 1/28 Triplane has always intrigued me but I'd not get one.

I had a 1//40 Sherman as a kid and loved it to bits.
