Aw man, now I'm nervous...

And the deck's woodgrain????  How was that accomplished?

Mouse, I posted a link on the previous page for the woodgrain effect.  I modified his approach a bit, and paint the deck black, then tan...sand with 600 grit.   Now overspray lightly with tan again. wait a while...perhaps a few hours.  Grab some coloured pencils or stick conte/pastels and start streaking the wood panels in a variety of colours...pink, purple, yellow, brown, blue...everything !  wait another bit.  Buff lightly with a 3M green pad, and then overspray with clear satin.  Wondra !!!!!!!!

still more to go...lots and lots of railings and stairs:

LOL...thanks !!!  it seems to be coming together rather well...a note for those building it:  put in the stairs during the assembly steps, instead of waiting until towards the end.  it is a real pain trying to fit them into place !!!

I finished her up the other day, and wrote out the article...should be on MM next week, I imagine.  It came out really nice, but boy, those railings are a real bugger to put on !!!!
