Great jet, wonderfull figures but the base could use a bit more attention (said the guy who uses prepreinted cardboard bases)  ;)

QuoteIs little Nev old enough to use poster paint yet, or were they bought for future use ?
Bought for future use - along with a ton of other stuff in the loft like the Duplo bricks for 2-5 year olds that Mrs Nev bought while she was still pregnant!  :dum:  She was excited about having a baby, bless her  ^_^   So I guess you could say Isaac has his own stash

QuoteDid you post- or pre- shade the model?

Post shaded using JHMs patented technique.  Mix some Tamiya acrylic with future, makes an excellent wash for highlighting details in undercarriage bays and the like and can also be used on panel lines like I did.  It was the first time I've tried it as a panel line wash and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, although it is a little heavy in places.  But overall its just enough to break up the grey paint.  Thanks for the tip Baz!  B)   I've found the black paint tends to settle a bit, so I can leave it un-stirred for a lighter wash or really mix it up when I want to get a stronger colour for stuff like landing gear.

HOLY SMOKES!
Nev! She's a beauty!

BTW- I've been to airbases with concrete tarmacs that have filled in the expansion joints with as much gunk as you show here. Greenwood was like that before the Aurora showed up and CFB Borden was like that for years, mostly around the training hanger, #4 I think. Spots at Shearwater are huge too. I measured one that was as wide as my size 10 1/2 sneaker. As the joint edges cracked and fell away from the seam it was easier to fill in with a kinda yellowish brownish epoxy like gunk. Not like tar at all. Personally dude, I like the base a lot, but the bird is a dream!

Abso-friggin-lutely fantastic, Nev.  I admit I'm in total jealousy mode over here!  This baby deserves a custom-made acrylic case of her own!!!

Thanks for the great pics, too (I'm downloading them all for keeps).

Forgive my ignorance but what are the markings under the cockpit?

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Thanks Baz, kind words from the master always mean a lot to me :)
