Used the cardboard from the box of an Airfix Spitfire cut to size, then sprayed with Grey primer.

Used the little 'uns black poster paint for the lines on the tarmac, applied using a syringe.  Got a little heavy in places though, oops!

Also forgot to run the lines right to the end in one place!!  :dum:

The oil stains were done using JHMs patented black acrylic/future mixture (as used on the panel line washes).  Dipped the end of a paint brush in there, then flicked it onto the base.

Then I used a little bit of a greyish pastel applied with my finger to provide some variation in shade & colour on the tarmac.  Was a little heavy in places, but hey-ho.

I will get round to writing an backstory for it and send it in as an article (I'll send it to you as well Martin - I've not forgotten about those short stories I promised you).

Looking good, Nevster ! Great job on the base....certainly adds to the realism !

But if I were in command, I'd get a few soldiers up on top of those bricks....huge blind-spot there for the enmey to hide !

Great job Nev - looks good on the base. Is little Nev old enough to use poster paint yet, or were they bought for future use ?

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Ollie

Nice!

Did you post- or pre- shade the model?

I'm in love, and might start one of my three F-5s as such...

But there's no contest guessing which markings they'll end up in!!
