So the time to do my 2 F-20s is fast approaching, preparation work is nearly complete and ideas are abounding.

First one will be S Korean, to fit into my Twilight 2000 scenario, and will be a vanilla OOB F-20.

I'm thinking

centre-line:  drop tank

inboard wings:  500lb LGBs

Outboard wings:  Pave Spike laser designator/ALQ-119 ECM pod

Wingtips:  AIM-9Ls.

Plan is to mount it on a wee diorama base, taxying out at the start of a sortie.

And before anyone asks, piccies to follow shortly :)

See, no need to do a Canuckistan one, enough already for us all  :P

The other one is planned to be Luftwaffe with the big wing as proposed by Evan (F-18 wings with wing fold mechanism removed).  But as the kit, and the wings, came from Aircav I wanted to run it by him first  :)

I was planning on doing a series of German Freedom Fighters/Tigers as Starfighter/Phantom alternatives

so the first one would have been a grey/green splinter F-5A with dayglo orange drop tanks

then a F-5E in that funky Phantom dark top/light grey sides & bottom with wavy demarkation line

last would be an F-20 in low viz greys...

upnorth

My first inclination would be to put it in Canadian or Norwegian markings and dress her up pure interceptor:

Infrared tracker on top of the nose, AIM-120 Amrams on the wingtip and outboard wing stations, long range tanks on the inboard wing stations and a jammer pod of some description on the centreline. Of course a retractable IFR probe opposite the Infrared tracker on top of the nose.

Not something you'd want to run into over the Arctic.

My second thought would be to put it in German Navy markings and sling a pair of Kormoran anti ship missiles under her if they'll fit. I think she'd look pretty sharp in that grey over white that the German Navy was using on its F-104s and Tornados in the late 70s and early 80s.

LMAO.....I'd be standing waiting for ya with a few decent - read Czech- beers, no possible way you could smack me then....Seriously, the question was only mentioned as a funny, not as an insult. IT was just something I couldn't resist.

Said Centurion has been sent and hopefully will be with you shortly.

As for F20's I want a number to build in various airforce services. I want some for my alternative Japanses AF scenario as well as RAF/RN service.
