Anybody want to do another GB for the glorius motherland?

Comrade B777

gooberliberation

I'm always game for that, Comrade!

Any idea for a subtheme? We've already did supercarriers, what's next?

Attack force for attacking US perhaps? Secret KGBs? Secret "soviet is better than US and only revealed the crappy things" theme?

gooberliberation

We could do a techno-swap. NATO designs slightly reworked and in soviet markings and vice versa?

Hear hear, i vote for techno swap!  :D    :)

Well if we're going down that route, here's some Ideas

...not that we need help with our imaginations.

USMC Frogfeet

NASA/Area 51 MiG-25, as a Mach 3 chase plane, for whenever the SR-71 is in the shop.

USN Su-27, either for Agressor squadrons or as a stopgap to replace F-18E until Tomcat II goes into service

Kitbash a MiG-27 and a tornado together. Eh... A Tornado-lite

F-111 with Fencer bits and tailfin, prototype Su-24

B-2 Spirit, with reshaped edges. Why? Because damnit a soviet flying wing would look cool!

C-5 galaxy with conventional tail and in aeroflot markings...

Frontal aviation A-10. MiG-10 "Farthog?" :P

Yakovlev totally scraps the Yak-38 and just steals the Harrier instead.(but then they'd never come up with the badass yak-141 :( )

Sukhoi never thinks of putting canards on a flanker and instead copy F-14(from iran) for soviet naval fighter

Red army Hueys. I dont see why not?

Tupolev Tu-47 Bratojet  :ar:

Advanced MiG-28 derivatives.

British Airways/Air France Tu-144 and an Aeroflot Concorde :dum:

COmrade, consider this true patriot to the Rodina and it's glorious technological achivements IN this GB

Lancerov - Colonel GRU

LONG LIVE THE RODINA

COMRADES!!!!

Is GLORIOUS day in GREAT Soviet Union!!

Comrade Colonel Lancerov, I have indeed been watching, but I have suspected that this was a ruse by the decadent West to draw us, the loyal citizens, into a deceitful trap, seeing as how Comrade B777 has stated in a previous communique that he was a willing ally of the running dog hoi polloi West.

But I see he has come around to the correct way of thinking.  So let us do the Polka of Joy and partake of the bread and vodka of sustenance!

But comrades, I must ask, why a specific group build?  Can we not spread the wisdom and joy of the Revolution everyday?  Must there be a prize with which we betray our socialist beliefs in the pursuit of capitalistic greed?  I say "NYET!!!"

The spirit of the Revolution was exemplified in the now laid to rest Supreme Soviet Supercarrier build, where no prize was awarded, and the only accolades received were from our comrades in arms!  (Comrade Anatoly begins to wax nostalgic about the "good old days")

Yes, comrade, I yearn for the days of old, when our mighty fleets drove the cowardly West back to their ports, when our vodka was the most potent drink in the world, when...  (Comrade Anatoly continues to wax nostalgic about the "good old days" for a few hours, all the while the National Anthem continues to play, as he partakes of the vodka of numbing)

... and that's why Comrade Admiral Kuznetsov was perpetually seasick!  Yes, you heard me, the man had his inner ear bones removed by aliens working for CIA psychics!

What?  WHAT?!  I ask you again, comrades, why with the looks after I educate you with the history of Rodina?

Comrades, I leave this to you.  The spirit of the Revolution should be spread not through an easily cruise-missile targetted group build, but we must permeate all aspects of building!  Infiltrate the Airfix GB, steal a TSR.2 for the Glory of Russia, and if you are an insane enough Bulshevik, go ahead and attempt a glorious example of Soviet engineering in Vacuform if you wish to truly show the decadent West who is the party leader!

But if we must put on an airshow for the impotent West, so be it!  Let the spirit of Revolution overrun this board once again!!

And remember, do not do it for personal glory, but for GLORY of RODINA!!!!

ZA RODINA!!!

But comrade, the SR-71  would be one of ours if we follow your plans. <_<
Comrades, i have a better idea, the world after the filthy west has fallen and we, the soviets have prevailed, being the only super power in the world!

Perhaps a reverse engineered B-36 ala the B-29 and Tu-4? Maybe even a FICON with a Mig-15 or 17.

reverse engineered everything!

You know, Supertom proposed this very idea some months back, and ran a poll asking people for their favorite build ideas.  I was the only one that voted for it.  I had the idea of combining the Hobbycraft CF-105 with the PM Su-21 to create a Polikarpov interceptor in the class of the Tu-128 and La-250.  I meant to designate it I-210 or something.

Of course, in order for something like that to have happened, Polikarpov would have had to have lived past 1945, and to not have Stalin take away all his toys and give them to those upstarts Mikoyan and Gurevich.

Getting into the spirit of things.....Since the US had  TOP GUN, what would the USSR's version of the same schoool look like (with captured and/or backengineered aircraft)?  Would Alexander Fedotov be "Viper"?  MiG-25s painted like F-15s, MiG-23s painted like F-4s, etc.

Comrade Dragon, the GLORIOUS Soviet Union did have an agressor regiment, though it flew Mig-23's painted similar to F-4's when they were flying around in SEA camoflage.  They also had shark's mouths, because we know the decadent West identifies with large, predatory scavengers for some reason.  I think they may have upgraded to Mig-29's, but the book I read about them in is currently in storage.

Comrade Jschmus, was this not the same pole that resulted in the Airfix Group Build?
