Bloody lovely stuff, Brad -- all you need now is a Sea Harrier with a few F-6 kills on the nose  :P

Roger the Cabin Boy Again

wow... that'll cause a stir down BA way...

Now, you lot, being well informed, will all know that in the real world, they flew a Harrier demo from 25 De Mayo back in the early 70s sales drive.  Years back, I did a scribbly drawing for the Harrier SIG of a Argie CANA one in this style, very Matador, ARMADA but with big hefty yellow bands on it to distinguish it from the opposing SHARs and GR3s...  Course, they could have operated with ease from the island in 1982.  Might have been a very even match that could have tipped the balance...

And then there would have been no poll tax!

Quoteexplosives on the u/c and a grenade in the cockpit.  Probably easier with Harriers - a single pack of C4 in the intakes and no more air force.
Thermite grenades and white phosphorous grenades also work wonders on aircraft and engines and on the plus side, they make a lot less noise with just as much entertainment.

Plus, as the FAA pilots said, if they'd been flying SHARs and we'd been flying Mirages, the result would still have been the same.  Quite simply the level of training of the Argentine fighter pilots was nowhere near as good as ours.

A crafty trick the VC used in nam was to get someone to slyly tape a large nut inside the air intakes of a Phantom or whatever, just as the plane was getting airborne, tape comes loose, nut is injested, engine goes bang.

I've got an old Hase Harrier kit I've got planned for Argie camo and markings, like their Skyhawks, and carrying a pair of Martin pescador missiles, two Sidewinders for defense, and two cannon pods.

Lovely build Brad! I've always wanted to do that plane, so the next one I see will probably fly off the shelf like it was catapulted!
