Just received my Canon Rebel XT DSLR, and it's da bomb.

Here are a few test shots.

First, my 1/48 B-25, AM kit.

Second engine is removed, I need to spray the white markings, as the decals crapped out.

I took this shot, around 5:30AM one morning. After taking the dog for a walk, I noticed a movement and saw 'it'! Using the patio lights, I set the camera to SQ2, and set it super macro, and opened up the flash.
When I took the shot, I was at a distance of 200mm, and hadn't seen the flash fire, but on seeing the photo realised that the night had eaten the light. When zooming the image, I realised the camera had detailed the web and the bushes in the background (6~8m away)
This is a garden spider, harmless, but rather beautiful, covered in soft white hair overall. It's about 3cm across.
