Excellent pics.  I never did like the old 35mm film Rebel/E0S cameras, but those new Canon digitals do a really nice job.  A guy here in the office got one a little while back, and I have to admit I'm pretty jealous.  Its an impressive piece of equipment.

I'm still kinda partial to my old-tech Pentax K-1000, but it's not nearly as handy as those digitals.

What made you decide to go with the Canon over the Nikon or Pentax?

The price.  With a 75-300mm lens, the Canon was a good 500$ cheaper than Nikon.

Very nice incentive to go with Canon.  I've got a Canon SLR and it'd be great if I could get a digital camera that used those lenses; 'cept from what I've seen, those are rather pricey still.
