Right here's Round One of the 2026/2027 GB Subject Poll - pick up to 10 for entry into Round 2

48 suggestions this year compared to 61 last.

They are in the order in which they were suggested.

Now I've given you 10 votes, although you don't have to use them all, and I will put 10/15 or so through to the second round. Not fixing the number now as I don't want to be too harsh and drop things that only narrowly miss the "cut".

The discussion about these suggestions can be found here :-

I'll leave it open for a 10 days or so and organise round 2 on or around 5th June

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Looking at that VAST list, Hazel said 'Well that looks OK, you can have a One Week Group Build for every week of the year, with two weeks off for holidays and two weeks at Christmas/New Year'!  ;D

You can tell she's not a plastic modeller like what we are, can't you?  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Bridget read the list over my shoulder and said I'm glad I'm not choosing!  I've voted but it took me half an hour.

Thank you for your work on this. Chris.

I take it that round two is to be for the twelth of June, rather than April?  ;)
Perfect is the enemy of Finished. I presume. I've never achieved either.

Date will be approximately 5th June, which is a day before I dissapear for a couple of weeks, so I want to get round 2 running before I go.

When I saw the Australia/New Zealand GB suggestion, I couldn't help but think of the Lord of The Rings films. After all, the majority of those films were made in New Zealand. Maybe somebody will make a Hobbit sized model invading the Australian coast. Kangaroos to the defense!  ;D  ;D
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.
