Count me in.

As mentioned in the discussion thread, I have the ancient Tamiya 1/72 Shinden, so why not prise it from the stash into the world for this GB

Bit of work to create a rudimentary cockpit and decided to go Contra-rotating propeller as a point of difference. Added a bit of "just in case" nose weight as well.

I do not forsee this being a huge build, the kit is very basic. Maybe a further tweak or two along the way

Great minds think alike  We might have a squadron by the end of the GB

What's the age difference between the Tamiya and Hasegawa Shindens?

Looking at Scalemates it looks to be about 30 years! Tamiya seems to be a new tool in 1965 and Hasegawa in 1995

The Tamiya kit is a nice little thing, it builds up quite nice and quick, too.
ISTR hearing it's more 1/75, but Airfix-style scale creep on the box blurb has happened...  ;)

Watch the wheels on the fins, they're delicate and all too prone to getting knocked off; don't ask, etc...

It would want to be, 30 odd years later  ;)

Not much, just some togetherness of parts and some winglets added

Oh.. and some sanding to get rivets down a bit

I have at least two Hasegawa 1/72 Shinden in the Stash, with one destined to become a Jet-powered version at some point in the future, just not right now.

I know, but getting one is like finding hen's teeth. I do have a resin exhaust from somewhere, which helps.

This is with a jet engine.

The Wooksta!

OGL cloned the relevant pieces in the jet.

Really showing the age of the kit as it is very gappy.

Well its grey and away we go on a few rounds of PSR by the looks of it. With out overdoing if for what the build is for.

All those newer kits would be a long way ahead of this offering.

Interesting British anti-aircraft gun in the background. The Shinden is looking good too.
