I can see some of the types that were specifically designed for kamikaze operations being used against troops etc, but larger types just seems a waste. However I suppose the whole kamikaze concept is exceptionally difficult for those of us from outside of Japan to understand ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Larger types means more 'Bang' being able to be packed on board...  :o

For some reason I thought it finished on the first of June, not the 30th!  :banghead:  I might be able to do another build in that time  :o

I'm really surprised that no one has done a Tiger Force bomber yet, it's literally what I think of when I think of Operation Downfall. I don't have the room or money to get a Lancaster or Lincoln kit  ;D

Dizzy could probably do half a dozen!  :o

I should JUST finish my two, but I may call for an extension (blush....)

I have two bombers to complete, the Lincoln conversion sets weren't available and the Sanger vacformed kit is out of my league. I have tried to build it but ran into a few problems.
The B-29 with Connie parts and a Connie with B-29 parts.

I might put the Pe-8 into that scheme but with special Op Downfall PDRV roundels.

It would look good in that scheme. Mind you must multi engined types do  ;)

But i'm hesitating because of the black undersides.  Presumably for night operations?  I forsee the PDRV aircraft carrying out tactical pinpoint daylight raids with a strong fighter escort.
Bridges, bunkers, buildings etc.
Maybe white uppers with sky blue undersides...

Good pics.  Note SEAC not Tiger Force national markings.

Similarly I presume it was for night ops, but I don't know for sure.

Maybe white over PR Blue ?

I was going to say either PRU blue or the grey used other SEAC camouflage schemes?
