My physical health is getting better but now the mojo is 0.1%. And, of course, there is very little left to be done. Soon, whenever the mojo returns, I can get the last bits done.

I've been working on some details for this. The Pinto has four rectangular turn signal/driving lights between the headlights and the grill. Any car guys got any suggestions to make this look decent?

I'm afraid paint would look like, you know, paint.

Well, an old trick is to mix white and silver. But it's still paint.
But you could put that (or just plain silver) on the underside of some clear plastic - I'd suggest bits of CD case - and that could look ok?

When i've got a kit with chrome headlights I paint the lenses with pearl white lacquer which is at airbrushing consistency.

If I had to make these i'd cut clear plastic big enough to fit between the headlamp recess and the grille and then mask off for the lights.  If you can find some clear with texture then put that on the inside.  Paint the area behind the lights (not the back of the clear) with chrome paint.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Bite the bullet and cut out the area and replace with some ribbed clear plastic. Edge of a CD jewel box?  Paint will almost always look like paint.

Interesting ideas. I could paint the rectangles them fill it in with UV resin.

That'll work!

I've managed to take care of some details on the mobil.
Exhaust pipe and muffler I was way overthinking. Turn signal lights on the front fenders. Found an old pair of mirrors that I'll have to build brackets for. I filled in the turn signals on the front of the Pinto with UV resin. I'm going to color them yellow with a sharpie. Going to pour the mold for a light bar and revolving yellow lights tomorrow. I'll cast them from clear resin and color them yellow. So good progress today.

I poured the resin for the light bar and revolving lights. They came out pretty good. I sanded the light bar to make it smoother and more clear. Coloring with the sharpie worked well.
I've applied a few decals for license plates and other details. I'm going to create some decals for a company name and such.
