I really wish more of my photos were available to see for the UK people, but I'm not going to use any photo hosting service that demands any form or amount of money from me.
I chose Imgur because it is still free. Although for how long is anybody's guess.
I'll try to use more of this website forum's upload attachment feature whenever possible in the future if I can. But I'm also going to still use Imgur as well.
The only solution I can think of would be for this website to ban the use of Imgur to all the members. But I doubt that would go over very well with the membership here.

Flickr is free for up to 1000 pictures.

I upload pics for build threads nad reference threads to Flickr, where I want the pics to persist for as long as possible.

I also upload show pics (the most numerous) to Flickr, but then I delete the oldest ones to make space for the newer ones. It's hard to say exactly because of COVID and me not taking my camera to every show, but I think the cycle is about 3 years-ish. Obviously I could be more selective about which pics to put up as well.

For "trivial" pics that are only going to be of interest for a limited time, I post them to Twitter ("X"  )  and then link them from there. No idea how long they persist on there, but it works well enough.

I still use Photobucket, a couple of quid a month doesn't bother me, because I've an awful lot of holiday shots taken over the last 20 years or so to keep accesable.

managed to get a lift back on a friendly ultra fast picket,   " the something something gravitas"
and i have to admit the posted band list is incredible.
