Gentlemen,

My sincerest apologies! Yesterday evening I sat all prepared to upload the polls for the 2026 Whiffie vote. However the site turned out to be unavailable so I had to retire to bed (after a few stiff drinks to get over my disappointment of course).
I see that the site is back up this morning so I will make a new attempt this evening.

I have a strong suspicion the site outage was caused by some members not wanting the polls to run in fear of losing the vote.
I can just hear some people calling out: "Just find me some votes!" (Or was that somewhere else?

)

I urge the administrators to start an investigation into this and punish the wrongdoers!

Next try: This evening!

There's probably a whole pile of votes hidden amongst the UMPTEEN cardboard boxes currently stashed in my garage and garden room. I'll see if I can dig some out and use them when it's time to cast them.

Postal votes are also acceptable if accompanied by either Pasty futures as traded on the Tregollen stock exchange, bletted medlars(carefully packaged) or a minimum of 25 kilogrammes of either Unobtainium or Handwavium castings.

So, serious point (sorry): I just went to start voting, and on the first thread I looked at, 50% of the images were geoblocked for me here in the UK, because they'd been posted using imgur. Not the model builder's fault either, since many were posted before the imgur block came in.

I can't vote for what I can't see, so this is going to skew the results, and since a lot of other members are in the UK the net result is likely to be significant.

Don't know what the solution to this is. Can't really expect people to re-upload potentially hundred of pics via an alternative service just for the UK members, or demand that UK members get VPNs (which you have to pay for) just to see the pics... $:-\$

I really wish more of my photos were available to see for the UK people, but I'm not going to use any photo hosting service that demands any form or amount of money from me.
I chose Imgur because it is still free. Although for how long is anybody's guess.
I'll try to use more of this website forum's upload attachment feature whenever possible in the future if I can. But I'm also going to still use Imgur as well.
The only solution I can think of would be for this website to ban the use of Imgur to all the members. But I doubt that would go over very well with the membership here.

All Imgur images have been replaced!

All, I replaced all images from Imgur with ones hosted on Flickr, If I had known about the issue, I would have done so from the start.
I hope I got them all and everyone can now see all the pictures. In all there were 17 images in 29 places $:-\$

I took the liberty of removing all Imgur related comments from the voting threads to avoid cluttering the vote.
I have my opinions on censorship and what people should be protected from or not but here is neither the place nor the time to go into all that.

I just hope everyone can cast their votes now!
