Needing a roughly-scale balloon for my 1 Week Build I picked up a package of plastic toy aircraft from one of the chain hobby stores.
Now I have a stash for future group builds, like I have with sailing ship models.

Already thinking about a couple of them.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Is that 16 figures, total, or just 12?

Either way, a vignette from The 47 Ronin would look good (not necessarily the movie).

Does having a bit of brain fade episode where one might have bought a rather expensive workshop kit to completely redo the model workshop count as increasing the Stash ?

All my brain could see was how nifty those drawers will be for paint storage and other tools and stuff.

Not really, but I'd say that's the most literally appropriate post ever to make on the "My Toolbox Just Got Bigger" thread:  ;D  ;D  ;D

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Managed to get a Zvezda 1/144 Boeing 757 for a sane price to add to my British Airliners collection. Just need to get the decals for it now.

Which scheme are you going for?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

One of the BA ones probably. My grandparents flew on one to Germany to visit my Uncle and family so there is a small link.

There is an opportunity to cause nausea, confusion and befuddlement  by using the classic and extremely elegant  BOAC  "Speedbird" livery.    Is it a genuine real world  heritage paint job, or..............

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

AFAIK BA only did retro schemes for a 747-400 in the BOAC Speedbird scheme and an A320 in the BEA Red Square scheme.

That leaves lots of scope for a 757 in an Imperial Airways scheme maybe?

I may have a set of BA Landor scheme decals for a 757 back in The Old Loft, where I should be in a couple of weeks perhaps.............
