Quote from: kerick on July 13, 2026, 01:02:20 PMI just picked up the new Schimmwagon from Tamiya at my club meeting. We are having a club GB using it as a base. One guy has installed a sub scale blown hemi. I'm thinking of the shiny black limo from the Addams Family movies. I think it was actually green but I'm going with black like the Munsters hot rod. I ordered a supposedly chrome paint pen for all the small shiny parts.

Is that the one with the fat tyres?

The wheels and tires come in six pieces. There's the wheel and sidewalls as one piece and five pieces of tread to be glued onto that. The assembled part looks really good but there can be a slight gap by the time you glue on the last piece of tread. I say make that piece touching the ground and you're good to go. I don't know if these tires are bigger than others. It did say something about it uses the wider tire the vehicle was supposed to have.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I needed more paint.  I ordered from the city LHS and while doing so this made me smile so it came with the paint.

Looks like there's also a J9N1-S "Night Fighter" boxing, so presumably that's the what-if version the gun bulges are for.

Maybe Ken and Mary were the same person and what they were called depended what day you asked...

It might be a badly translated Patrol Car...............on the other hand, it might not.
