Ummm yeah ,,like normal a simple plan for a upgunned Marder went a little over board with upgrades to the armour and then of course another idea came to mind for protection against drones for the turret ,, yeah i'll agree ,,i've got a problem
Anyways here's a  heap of pics of this thing ..the Marder 1A4 .

Al thats a turret of a CV90/40 kit i used the chassis for a Ukrainian SPG which got a bit out of hand in the build process ,,much like this one did .
And thanks mate  ;D

Oh, that's a cool vehicle. I had to look that up. A Swedish IFV, very interesting, would fool people just done up in different markings as is, I bet.

The dictionary says that 'Phillerized' is a term meaning that lots and LOTS of very fine details are added to a project until there is no more space left for further detail.

But then  more detail is added anyway!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Turned the thing into a cross between a PUMA and a Merkava I see.  That anti-drone net is definitely an interesting touch.

Amazing job, Phill! It does look like a Puma and a Merkava's love child. Great job on theworking drone net!

Thank you very much guys ,, and yes i'll freely admit that i do have  a problem
Some how tho i 'm pretty that's not new news to any of you guys

Fred mate the hood is indeed fully operational ,,dude ya should know me now eh ?

Ok this is what happened to how this ended up looking like it does ... so i brought the Marder ,,this you guys know ,, i then hacked it up and mounted the new CV90/40 turret which came with the CV90 i had ,,and guess what it looked like when i mounted the turret .. it looked like a bloody CV90  :banghead:
The side skirts on the Marder are damn near exactly the same as the CV90's and it really didn't help that both vehicles also share a very similar profile too .
Well i was just sitting there wondering what to do about that and when those 3 models from my mate Mark showed up i had the Challenger sitting there and its side skirts gave me an idea ,,i test fitted one of em to the side with smurf poop and yeah it looked good but was also far to long and the front and rear plates had to be cut off and reglued at the top of the armour ,,i also cut down the front section so it matched the length of the Marder better ,,well that led to the sides needing attention and it just went off from there..ya know if the sides have new armour then it wouldn't be fare for the front and rear not to have any too isn't it ?
Nop the Cv90's turret is pretty well protected but chucking some Contact5 blocks wouldn't hurt and then i found the pics of Ukrainian armour with anti drone hoods .. and there ya go ..5 hrs of work later ,,a working anti drone hood with chain buttocks protection
Next will be painting it and it wouldn't take much to sort out a colour for it since now it's pretty much completely covered in new armour i can paint it anyway i want to and that colour is going to be i have not freaking idea ,,yet  ;D
