Hello!

That was very simplified model, one of the oldest I've ever made. But hey...It's a JET HYDROFOIL, I had to have it :)

Aftermarket used:
1/72 CMK 40 mm gun and twin brownings, railing posts and winch from RB Model, two antennas from Master, Kajika 1/700 chain

Other upgrades:
soldered brass mast, gun guard, rear wash guard and flag staffs
scratchbuild exhaust, rear twin cannon, rudders
added lenses for lights and wave guard around 40 mm gun
modified instruments on top of bridge
minor upgrades of "boxes" between gun and superstructure

Model was painted with AK paint range, weathered with AMMO fluids and AK pencils.
Bottom hull color should be black but I couldn't force myself to do it, it's red because I wanted it to be red :) So it's little iffy :)
Decals were so delicate (after 56 years) that I've nearly lost them, thankfully I've managed to use all but two.

I'm quite pleased with my Tucumcari, I must say :)
Hope you'll like it.

Ah well, give it a day and maybe that'll change.

Good to see (or not  ;) ) one of these made.

As I'm in Australia I don't expect the Imgur issue, especially as, like you, I can see other Imgur images.

Getting the same thing in the US which is not geoblocked like the UK.
Does the idiot Imgur AI think that because the majority of the people
posting on What-If have UK IP adresses that the site should be
geo-blocked?

But I CAN see the pics here in the UK, crazy or what?

I built that same kit ages ago and still have it somewhere. It goes together REALLY well and looks most impressive, but yours is even better with the extras you added.

A pity they didn't make it in a larger scale, as it'd look superb up on the foils with an RC setup installed too.

weird as im UK based and can see it. :banghead:

but i must say  very good looking as well.  Ive always had a bit of a soft spot for  hydrofoils.  :)
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Yeah, they're so 'off the wall'.

I had the distinct pleasure of travelling aboard the P&O Boeing Jetfoil once, which used to run from Tower Bridge Pier in London to Ostend. I thought it would go hull-borne until it reached Southend or close, but no. As soon as we passed through Tower Bridge the Captain/Pilot opened the taps and we went up on the foils right then! All the way past what is now the Dome and right across the Channel at about 50 knots!

It was specially interesting to me as it rolled into the turns, just like riding on the APT-E, plus it read the waves and climbed up over them as well, very hi-tech. It only ran for a short while and they sold it to an operation in Macau, where it's still running/flying/floating I believe.

What Guy said.  Back when the Sr. Scooter (my late father) decided he wanted to be the proud owner of a 23' Sea Ray cabin cruiser, we were leaving the Haverstraw Marina, located next to the (now closed) US Gypsum plant next door, and tied up along their pier was one of the 4 Pegasus-class hydrofoils.
