RE: finish sanding tight areas.  Maybe try toothpaste or valve lapping compound -"clover compound" is now owned by Loctite and seems to be available in the UK for those hard to reach areas.  It's soft, and not wax based like polishing compound for a buffing wheel and should get into the nooks and crannies with a cotton bud or stiff brush.

The gap between the wing's leading edge and the forward exhaust nozzle on a 1/144 SHAR is about 1.5 mm wide. A cotton but is about twice as wide as that.

I had to resort to using a tapered circular section file and only the very end of it was small enough to get into that gap.

Folded very fine sand paper should work as well.

I've finally got the MINISCULE wheels to stay in position for the TinySHAR, and it stands on its own four feet now. 

What I can't find is any low viz roundels in 1/144 scale.    I thought I had some but they're a tad over size, wider than the wing chord in fact, so I guess they're for a Nimrod or something of similar size.

The search continues.

I've got some 1/144 lo-viz roundels en route too, so I can finish her off soon hopefully.

Now this build has come to a grinding halt as well!

The Revell 1/144 SHAR nosewheel leg is too short and the TinySHAR sits level, whereas the real thing sits decidedly nose high, so I was attempting to cut off the nosewheel and replace the leg with some fuse wire. In the process my hand holding the scalpel slipped and took off the main wheels, one 'winder and a balancer wheel too, and all of them were instantly swallowed by the Carpet Monster! 

I can't find them anywhere, and although I have many more such kits at home, I don't plan to be there till early January.

Ho hum........................such is life.

As far as I'm concerned 'modelling IS life', if I don't model, I don't really live.

I'll almost certainly be doing some on Christmas Day, but maybe not on Boxing Day as it's always a big family day, taking place at my eldest daughter's place miles from wherever I happen to be.

Re: the missing parts. Ask to borrow one of your beloveds tights, pop it over the end of a hoovers stalky bit, switch on and wave over the likely area the bits fell. Should be able to pick the bits up and the tights stop the hoover from gobbling them up!

Yeah, we may try that, except she usually wears socks. We may have to dig deep to find some tights. 

The bits should show up as they're moulded in dark blue and the carpet's a light tan, but can I see them? Not a hope!

I tend to take my socks off and use my feet if I know it's not something sharp or glass. Though with tiny bits that does risk pushing them deeper in. Did find a teeny vent that way yesterday though!

A fine kitchen sieve  or even a fine mesh plastic tea strainer  might suffice, held over the nozzle of the vacuum ...............at least it did for me.

A  torch shone parallel to the floor? Can cast a shadow of the object.
Or just using a torch as normal -and crouch down closer to see (interesting that the word includes 'ouch'; very percipient); this has worked for me on multiple occasions.
