I saw it on the Sunday, when I'd said I was ONLY buying decals, bits and supplies. I didn't need it but I liked it. I put it down carefully and told myself that if it was still there when I passed the stand again I'd take that as a sign and buy it. It wasn't there...

Looking at the destructions here I think every boxing contains the same sprue meaning you can build any version from any boxing - only the box art and transfers differ.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Quote from: Weaver on November 14, 2025, 01:05:32 AMThe Hunter nose is going on an airframe that's a whiff in other respects (F.4, basically) , so it doesn't matter if it's wrong or not. IIRC it's missing some windows, or something like that? If you can find the Airkit one I'll certainly buy it off you though, since I can't find a Quickboost one anyway.

IIRC I may have made a mould of it, which is probably easier to find than the Quickboost bit (although I think I've seen it recently...). I'll run one or two off when I get some more resin, probably in January.

Would be standard AZ/KP practice

Cheers - that's interesting.

Okay well if you do, I'll definitely have one from you (swaps or cash, whatever you want). There's no rush either: it's a side project to a main timeline, so it's not holding anything up.

The changes between the 2013-2015 AZ P.60s and the 2025 looks to be mostly part re-arrangement on the trees, some minor changes to the parts (closed main landing gear doors) and from the looks of the sprues shown, maybe an improvement in the molding. Compare the old instructions with the new ones.

I built one of the origional mouldings, still have another in the stash, and the sprues/mouldings certainly look cleaner and sharper.

I'm looking ahead to next year and it seems likely that I won't be staying in the centre like I have the last 5 years.
Travelodge and Premier Inn are quoting me £500+ for 3 nights in a budget hotel.
My trip to Lisbon is only £440 with flights, parking, insurance and hotel with breakfast included.

I am looking around at other hotels which are offering much better rates even if it means paying a small fee for show parking.

Don't park at the show, park in the shopping centre opposite.  It's pretty much the same price and I've found it's never totally full.   Other option is to find accommodation in , say, Shrewsbury and get the train in

A modern stealth aircraft should be easy to achieve from that model.

Early version of the A12?

I was thinking something more Northrop-Grumman, RQ-180, B-21 etc.

They're taking advantage. Pure, unadulterated greed. Yes, I know that's what 'capitalism' is meant to be about, but it's just going too far these days.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Main problem would be burying the engines: pods and stealth go together well do not.

It's a nice kit, if a touch basic. If you want to be faithful to the actual design then the upper/lower central pods and the blunt nose are the authentic options. In my stash for this very reason. The alternative options did appear, but on variants that also differed in more fundamental ways. Things like wheel options are fictitious, as the u/c was never designed in any detail. No harm in something for the spares box, though.
Cheers.
