Yeah, that's good!

The skin really looks like burnished weathered aluminium, good job!

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Yes, the graphite works well.
I shall have to remember that.

Indeed it is   I always find that style of undercarriage layout fascinating.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looks great. It has a rough resemblance to a favourite project of mine, the Armstrong Whitworth AW.168, 2nd place in the competition to the Buccaneer.

Not so minor.
I don't think I've ever achieved it on the kits I've done with outriggers.

There were several aircraft with a similar layout in the Fifties, e. g. for the US Navy. The available engines, bulky radar systems and the need for big tanks dictated the layout, e.g. one Vought V-346 design (became the much different Cutlass) or the Gruman G-75 fighter.

BTW., assembly of the J31 has been finished, photo session next.
