Kit's Khaos

It occurred to me that I didn't have one of these bloggy things, and even though I'm ancient I thought maybe I'd give it a try, so here's Kit's Khaos for your delectation.

Currently I'm staying at my 'country home' in Northants with my lady love, and building models like it's going out of style! I've got three going at full throttle now, and one on standby, which is keeping me off the streets. I may be heading back to my actual house in Gloucestershire later this week and some of this stuff will go with me I expect, but I'll make a value judgement on that at the time.

Here's the current full throttle stuff, at the rear is the RAF Martin Master tactical bomber, destined for the RAF's 16 Sqdn, which now has it's lower colour coat on, and both landing gear legs attached. See the Master thread for details on that tomorrow I expect.

On the left is the Hawker Siddeley/|Beechcraft Dragon MR1 maritime reconnaissance aircraft, which has spent a month in the paint stripping bath getting rid if the appalling primer that I used on it to start off with. It's now beautifully primed with some Hycote Grey primer and also has its lower colour coat applied. Its two Harpoon missiles are in front of it. It's destined for a 110th Anniversary scheme for its unit, 201 Sqdn. when its finished.

And on the right is the Shorts Super Sealand turbo prop amphibian which has got all its paint on now and is awaiting the various addon bits to be glued on, and some decals. The latter have yet to be drawn up as my almost new trackball doesn't have a working RH button and it's almost impossible to do any decent artwork in a sensible time scale without one! The Super Sealand's floats are in front of it, half way through their painting.

I've also got my very long build Tornado F6 upstairs waiting for some action on my part to finish it off. I think I've got some missiles to build for it, but I'll have to check.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I've the Anigrand kit in the stash, and have often thought the same thing Kit
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I strongly endorse this blog.  ;D

That's one of the fun things about blogs: they don't need to have a specific purpose. You can use them to say things that don't fit into anywhere else, or for you to have a rant or whatever you like, as long as it's within the site rules.

Indeed so.

Yes, indeed!

I sent a rude message to the sellers of my 3 month old trackball, the one with a failed RH button..............

Their reply was to the effect that '......we can't do anything about this now as too much time has passed and we can't check with our shippers when it was delivered....'

WHAT?

As I bought it via ebay all they have to do is look at the date on my original purchase, the shippers have naff all to do with it! All they're doing is trying to fob me off, but they've not heard of the 'Don't mess with Spackman' message that's writ large in these parts!

I've sent a 2nd, even ruder message to them, and if that doesn't get some action I'll be taking action vis ebay. That'll sort them out!  :banghead:  :banghead:

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Ive built the Anigrand kit LOL.
I did think the same about it being a Cranberry competitor....Even more so as its a Tri jet.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

One of the better uses of social media is putting pressure on companies that blow you off. Just post about the situation and get specific on who the company is. They don't like negative news about them.
I had a leaking electrical transformer dripping on my garbage cans. I posted about it and suggested that "I didn't know if PCBs were involved." A new transformer showed up in a few days instead of months plus a new set of pavers that were soaked in oil. Positive result. I was really charged up about it.
